Ron Orritt - Consultant Marine Engineer

Ron is an Incorporated Engineer and a long-established Marine Surveyor/Consulting Engineer. Joining the Merchant Navy straight from school, he spent several years with a large international shipping company, serving in all ranks from Engineer Cadet to Chief Engineer.

In 1984, with the British fleets being dramatically reduced, Ron obtained a position ashore with T.R. Little & Co., a well-respected marine surveying and consulting engineering company, becoming a Partner in 1990.

Ron has considerable experience as an engineer surveyor acting on behalf of Underwriters, Shipowners, Protection & Indemnity Associations, Salvage Association, and also as a Consultant Engineer on behalf of a number of large law firms, insurance companies and shipowners.

In May 2004, T.R. Little & Co. joined forces with Taylor & Co. (Marine) Ltd., becoming Taylor Marine TR Little. Ron chose to further his career by joining the new company as a marine engineer, and is now a Consultant to Taylor Marine.
