Nick Taylor is a Marine Engineer with a first Class Certificate of Competency, obtained in 1987 from Liverpool John Moores University. Prior to joining Taylor Marine, Nick was at sea for almost thirty years serving on a variety of vessels as Chief Engineer, including container ships, bulk carriers, RO/RO vessels, fast ferries and passenger ships.
Nick has therefore acquired a vast experience of engineering practices worldwide, having worked from some time in Japan and Italy in his capacity as Chief Engineer, and has regularly been called upon to provide verbal expert evidence and written submissions in matters of litigation.
Nick joined Taylor Marine TR Little in December 2006 and has since been involved in Hull and machinery surveys, including:
Main engine failure investigations to 2 and 4-stroke engines.
Structural and damage assessment surveys, including assessment of repair costs.
Groundings.
Collision damage.

Nick is registered as Incorporated Engineer with the Engineering Council through his associate membership of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology.
