MAIN ENGINE FAILURE

Taylor Marine were appointed on behalf of H&M Underwriters to establish the nature, cause and extent of damages following the failure of the starboard PTO Vulcan coupling on a 14,759 GT Ro-Ro vessel shortly after departing the berth at Dublin en route to Liverpool, resulting in the vessel "blacking-out".  Our Engineers attended the vessel whereupon it was established that the subject coupling was within normal running hours / parameters when it failed.
