GROUNDING OF RO/RO FERRY

Taylor Marine were appointed on behalf of H&M Underwriters to ascertain the nature and extent of damages sustained to a 19,722 GT RO/RO vessel which ran aground whilst en-route from Warren Point to Heysham.  Our engineers attended the vessel at Belfast Dry-Dock to view grounding damages and to monitor subsequent repair works.  Grounding of the vessel was deemed as a result of human error.
