DAMAGE TO ENGINE & PARTS

Taylor Marine were appointed on behalf of liability insurers to investigate allegations of fast chemical corrosion and excessive wear and tear of engine parts following bunkering of off-spec fuel. Metallurgical examination of various parts reportedly removed from the Auxiliary Engines showed signs of scoring suggestive of a fuel related issue.
