STERN TUBE DAMAGE

Taylor Marine were appointed on behalf of H&M Underwriters and instructed to attend on board the vessel on the South Coast of England following reports of damages to the stern tube and bearings.  Our Marine Engineers were able to assess the damages and determine the cause as foreign objects passing through the rope guard and damaging the seal faces.  The vessel was subsequently docked for repairs which were monitored by our team.
