Our three-day ship familiarisation course contains a packed programme of events aimed at professionals looking to gain or expand their knowledge of merchant ships and their operation.  The course has been running successfully for nearly 20 years in Liverpool, with positive feedback received from participants, who found it both interesting and insightful.

The course includes visits on board a variety of vessel types (Container, Bulk Carrier, General Cargo, RoRo etc.), together with a tour of the Port of Liverpool and of the dry-docks at the world-famous shipyard, Cammell Laird.

The course then concludes at the Lairdside Maritime Centre of Liverpool’s John Moores University (JMU) where participants will have the opportunity to take charge of a state-of-the-art ship simulator which features a ship’s bridge with an impressive 360 degree field-of-view.
