COLLISION WITH FISHING VESSEL

Taylor Marine were appointed on behalf of Owner's H&M Underwriters to investigate the circumstances surrounding the alleged collision of a 2,210 gross tonne general cargo vessel with a fishing boat.  Our surveyors attended at the scene and were able to determine the cause of the incident, resulted due to the fishing vessel not displaying the appropriate navigational signals at the time.  Taylor Marine were subsequently able to assess the extent of damages to both vessels, as well as comment on the repair works required and provide an estimate of costs.
