Taylor Marine were appointed on behalf of the ship owner's P&I Club to investigate the nature, cause and extent of hull damages sustained to a 36,177.00 gross tonne bulk carrier during berthing / discharge operations at a UK Port due to absence of adequate fendering. Our team attended on board the vessel whereupon it was found that damages sustained to the starboard side hull were consistent with rubbing contact with unused and pre-existing steel wire ropes secured to dock side bollards.
