CONDENSATION DAMAGE

Taylor Marine were appointed on behalf of Owner's P&I insurers to attend a joint survey of pre-wrapped cold rolled steel sheet in coils following allegations of condensation/wetting damage by cargo interests.  Joint inspection found that wetting observed to the coil outer wrappers had not penetrated through to the steel sheet below, which remained intact.  All cargo was subsequently sent forward to the end user, with no claim being made against the shipowner's insurers.
