DAMAGE TO STEEL PRODUCTS

Taylor Marine were appointed on behalf of the ship owner’s P&I Club following receipt of a letter of protest issued by the Port of Liverpool to the Master of a 30,669.00 gross tonne bulk carrier, alleging various damages to a cargo of steel products carried on board the vessel as well as operational defects to the ship’s deck cranes.  Our team attended on board the vessel to undertake a joint inspection with Charterer’s and Port representatives whereupon it was found that cargo damages were consistent with findings recorded during pre-load survey.
